Beauty is all around. As summer turns to fall the changes are just breathtaking: the colors of the leaves, festive pumpkin displays, corn stalks, and of course bright colored apples.. All of these changes are so beautiful but once the leaves fall and begin to litter our yards it is easy to lose sight of that beauty. This reminds me a little bit of life. Sometimes life loses it leaves and the beauty seems to disappear. We cannot let the beauty of life fade. It is there. Sometimes we just need to transform a situation from something less appealing to something beautiful. Take for instance the picture to the right of this post. Sitting at a friend's house yesterday, I started playing with the dying leaves on her deck. As I picked up one leaf after another I began to put them together. I transformed those decaying leaves into a beautiful rose. We all have the power to change a situation into something beautiful. We just need to look beyond the obvious and transform situations. Life is really what you make of it. You can sit and do nothing and end up miserable or, you can stand-up take charge and turn an unfortunate situation around.
